For 25 years, Dr. Shufflebarger has practiced exclusively in sedation, anesthesia and surgical dentistry at his practice in Beavercreek, Ohio and maintains privileges at 3 local hospitals. After beginning his education at Purdue University studying chemistry, he continued on to Ohio State College of Dentistry where he was honored to earn the Horace Wells student award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Dental Anesthesiology. Thereafter he completed a residency with Miami Valley Hospital. He achieved the status of Master of the College of Sedation with the ADSA. Currently, he is the Managing Director of Miami Valley Hospital’s Department of Medical Education’s long standing Moderate Sedation training series, where he creates didactic, skills and simulation content for sedation training. He has instructor status and trains medical professionals in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. He's been privileged to speak at national organizations, dental schools, residency programs, medical schools, hospitals, and regional events.
