Ceramic dental implants have gained wide popularity in the last 20 years and allow for the clinician to offer solutions to patients who are allergic to metals or are simply looking for metal-free dental implants. The advances in dental material sciences and manufacturing processes have allowed for the creation of two-piece ceramic implants made of zirconium dioxide and reinforced with yttria, ceria, or alumina. This allows for removable, retrievable, and screw-retained solutions to treat edentulism. This presentation showcases the use of two-piece ceramic dental implants to treat an edentulous maxillary arch with a removable overdenture.
