Decisions on prosthetic design and approach for full arch dental implant therapy can be a challenge to determine. Often patients present with extensive decay or severe periodontal disease such that teeth can no longer be maintained. This presentation aims to outline a decision tree algorithm on planning for these kinds of cases to ensure not only that implant osseointegration Is successful but to ensure long term aesthetic success of the case. Discussion will include how to choose a hybrid approach versus an FP1 approach and when to utilize tooth preservation concepts such as PET to ensure long-term esthetic and functional success.
Learning Objectives:
Learn when to use an FP1 approach versus hybrid
Examine the role of digital design in the planning stages
Learn how to optimize the esthetics of an FP1 approach utilizing PET
