As US life expectancy increases, modern dental providers are tasked with treating Americans living longer but not necessarily “better”. When patients present with increasingly complex medical diagnoses, it’s important to understand that heart disease remains the leading cause of death for both men and women. This course explains cardiac function and dysfunction impactful to both patients and practitioners. Participants learn to better communicate with physicians and gain strategies and tactics for managing cardiovascular disease.
