Dental practices should be screening all patients for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), but many are unfamiliar with what they should do after they find a patient or lack the education to recognize the disease. This workshop will cover a workflow for helping these patients get the care they need and deserve from start to finish. It will also cover how providers are getting paid by medical insurance when offering oral appliance services to manage OSA.
Learning Objectives:
Learn how to screen and identify at risk patients for OSA
Learn the workflow for screening patients for sleep-related breathing disorders
Learn how to determine a therapeutic jaw position versus guessing and titrating
