Zirconia implants have become a recognized evidence-based solution in implant dentistry. With today’s implant patients searching for a natural looking smile, all-zirconia implants can provide another option in your practice. Understanding the prosthodontic differences between restoring a zirconia implant versus a titanium implant is key to offering high-end results and increasing your practice revenue. This combination didactic and hands-on course will discuss many topics including material science, implant designs, prosthodontics, differences between bone level and tissue level implantation, implants and abutments, impression taking, tissue management, and how to avoid restorative failures. During the hands-on portion workshop participants will prepare round and oval all-zirconia implants and abutments in models utilizing angulation, ferrule, beveling, contouring, and occlusal reductions. Using impression materials and intra-oral scanners, participants will learn how to take manual and digital impressions of your preparations and design crowns for final prosthetics.
